I Am Jessie!

I am a small town mom of three, and photography has been a passion of mine for twenty years now, wow that makes me feel old. It began with my first job when I was 17, I took photos of guests as they came in to the Louisville Zoo. The company that I worked for that did that, also had other contracts that they did and needed help with, one of which was Jamfest, which hosts national cheer and dance competitions. I was incredibly fortunate to be able to have such an amazing platform to learn and grow on. Through that company I was able to work with and learn from so many other photographers all across the country, I was able to branch into other sports, (aside from cheer and dance but that is always going to be a love of mine.) Commercial, Weddings, Portraits and finally Newborn Photography, which seems to be a whole separate entity in itself.

I was able to travel and put myself through school, I minored in photography, and continued my professional journey for about 6 years. I had a lot of complications when I had my first daughter and I had to take a step back from my photography and really focus on her and my family. Lots of life happened, got married, bought a house, moved to my husbands hometown, had more kids, and while I never fully quit, I wasn't able to devote as much time and energy into my photography as I knew it required.

Now, my youngest is strong and thriving and I am in a place where I can once again delve into the industry and grow and invest in my passion. I am thrilled to be able to support my family with something that I love so much and has been such a huge part of my life.
